Transparency, empathy, and Compassion!

Some contemporary techniques Tiffany enjoys using and finds most helpful are mindfulness, narrative, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy approaches.

Post-pandemic technology has been the catalyst for obtaining care. Everyone relies on technology throughout their daily lives. While mental health and therapy are often stigmatized, Tiffany acknowledges and believes that individual preferences are most important and pivotal during these times. Access to mobile apps, video conferences, and other forms of technology are encouraged. This allows clients and clinical staff comfort and solace in the confinement of their own spaces, which can make the therapeutic alliance stronger.

Specific Techniques used are different evidenced based practice interventions geared toward meeting clients where they are in the moment. CBT and narrative therapy are two of the most common techniques. CBT, which focuses on the behaviors and beliefs that are most problematic by challenging clients to make adjustments using motivational interviewing, empty chair techniques, active listening, etc. Narrative therapy to help guide client in retelling their story in effort to minimize or eliminate problems and develop new stories to help them edit and rewrite their narratives in a way that is more meaningful to them.
